Triglavani again in the first league after a year

The Triglavs were also the better opponent in the second game of the finals. The game was decided again in the last two minutes, when the guests played a decisive advantage with threes and deservedly became the champions of the 2. SKL. They were already the best in the regular season and they confirmed it in the finals.
Ljubljana – On Wednesday, the 2nd Division II basketball team also wrapped up this season. SKL. After the second final match in Ljubljana, the ECE Triglav Kranj basketball players came to victory again after a tense duel and thus won the title of the winners of the 2nd SKL! Thus, after only one year, they return to the best club competition in Slovenia, the Liga Novo KBM, where they last played in the 2021/22 season. In today’s final match, the two teams exchanged the lead several times, and the score was still tied six minutes before the end of the duel. After a minute of break, the visitors showed a more determined play on offense and regained the advantage with a three-point shot. With a fighting game, they then kept the advantage until the end and thus deservedly earned a place among the first league teams. The best scorer of the game with 20 points was Ježice’s basketball player, Aljaž Bratec. For the opposing team, Lovro Urbiha contributed 19 of them, and he added 10 rebounds and consequently achieved the best statistical index (24).

ECE Triglav to the first victory in the final

When the score was 55-45 for the hosts with 5 minutes remaining, it looked like the Trojans were reliably guarding the lead they had after the third quarter (50-39), the Hedgehogs managed to get closer to (-2) 59-57 with 90 seconds left in the game. That’s when the hosts Urbiha and Jan Dornik entered the scene, making two consecutive three-pointers to make the difference again and the game was decided.
ECE Triglav needs one more win to return to the 1st SKL, which they will chase in the Wednesday, May 3 at the Ježica Hall, the game will be at 7 p.m.

With a big win in the third game against Janče 88:59, the Triglav team made it to the finals
The third match between ECE Triglav and Janče is played. Triglav did not allow another surprise and made a decisive advantage in the first half (+14).
The final score was 88-59 (24-17, 21-14, 21-13, 22-15).

The competition system is designed in such a way that only the results of the mutual meetings of the teams participating in the league count for survival.
Medvode were better in head-to-head encounters than Celje.
If all the results of the regular season and relegation league games were counted, Celje (28-9-19) would stand, which recorded two more wins than Medvode 28-7-21.
