In an extremely tense endgame, the Mariners again managed a last-minute turnaround.

The home coach Nusdorfer then made several substitutions and rotation of players, but unfortunately they did not manage to keep the same rhythm and allowed the guests a 13:0 run, in the last minutes the home team managed to stop the onslaught of the guests and the half ended with a 6-point advantage (46:40).

The first five of the hosts ( Rogelja A, Krmac , Cvetičanin, Kavgič and Škerbec ) again made a higher difference of +14 ( 58: 44 ) at the beginning of the second half, followed again by a worse series of sailors, numerous mistakes in the attack, lost balls and inaccurate throws, a drop in concentration in defense ( the first personal mistake was made by the sailors only in the 29th minute ) and the guests with a series of 3-point shots first came to the equalizer and then a good three minutes before the end 3-point lead – 77: 80.

A series of 3-point throws followed, first the home captain Cvetičanin tied the score at 80:80, then the guests hit a three for 80:83, at 83:83 Škerbec equalized with a three. The visitors again hit a three-pointer for 83-86. The next attack was wasted by the hosts 50 seconds before the end of the game, then the Mariners were left with only a pressing defense, first the Rogel brothers stole the ball from the visiting defender, Andraž reduced the score to 85:86. On the next attack, the Rogel brothers again made a mistake by the visiting defender in pressing. After a minute of break, the Sailors had an attack to win, but Rogelja A. missed the “floater”, the jump was picked up by Buda, who was stopped by the Sailors with a foul. Since it was only the 4th personal error of the hosts, the guests took the ball from under the basket, Gašper Sevšek came to the ball 6:31 seconds before the end, who was incorrectly stopped by the hosts and had 2 free throws due to the bonus of personal fouls. He scored only the second to extend the lead to 85-87. The ball was taken out from under the basket by Škerbec, passed the ball to Andraž Rogeja, who carried the ball to the offensive half, passed to Tim Škerbec, who threw a three-pointer with 1:30 seconds left and 0:20 seconds before the end also scored for Portorož’s 88:87 victory.
