Defeat of the members in the first game of the playoffs

KD Slovan - KK Portorož 104: 98 ( 30: 17, 23: 19, 20: 29, 31: 33)

He also won the first in the matches between Slovan and Portorož this season. This time by the lowest margin.
Slovan gained a decisive advantage in the first half, which they won with a score of 53: 36 ( + 17).
In doing so, Slovan took advantage of the criterion of judging personal fouls, which was lenient on the hosts, who with an aggressive defense and numerous
Contacts that were not sanctioned prevented Portorož’s attack and filled the visitors’ basket from quick counterattacks.
The referee couple was also generous to the Porters when judging technical fouls, with at least two technical fouls being unjustly and unfairly awarded.
The second technical foul by the coach of Portorož at the end of 3/4 and consequently also the exclusion was unfairly awarded to the guests, so the Portorož team had to play the match to the end without a coach (his function was taken over by the team captain Cvetičanin according to the rules).  After a lackluster performance in the first half, Portorož made a three-point shot in the second half, scoring 10 3T shots (Cvetičanin 4, Rogelja 3, Škerbec 2, Kilibarda 1) in the finals to get closer to 97: 95 and 101:98 , but they couldn’t do anything more.
The fact that the hosts made as many as 39 free throws (31: 39 – 79%) , Portorož only 14 ( 11: 14 – 79%) and had as many as 10 more personal errors than the locals .
which confirms the claims of the Portorožans about the unequal judicial criterion in judging personal errors.
The return match will be on Wednesday in Portorož at the Lucija Sports Club at 8 p.m.

In the playoffs and the league for the survival of the victory of the hosts

In the first games of the playoffs, it was tense and tied in Ljubljana at Ježica, where Ježica defeated Sežana 74:71. The second match in Ljubljana between Slovan and Portorož was also decided in the last minute.

In the relegation league, Celje recorded their second victory in the relegation group after a turnaround in the second half, after Gorica’s victory over Postojna (the result was tied until five seconds before the end), the latter made a big step towards survival.
It looks like Medvode, Postojna and Celje will fight for second place in the playoffs, where Medvode have an advantage due to two more wins and a favorable win-loss ratio so far.

The next round is Tuesday and Wednesday during the week, when the playoff return games and the second round of the relegation league are played.
