The Mariners’ last win against the Trots dates back to 2020, when Portorož celebrated on September 26 with a score of 98:95. Since this victory, Portorož has played 2 championship games and 2 playoff games and all four have been won by the New Townspeople.

The Trots came into today’s game as clear favorites, from third place with a 7-3 win ratio, against Portorož, who occupied 10th place with a record of 4 wins and 5 losses. Portorož played the match without the injured captain Aleks Cvetičanin, and the guests without the injured Prus.   

The real fan atmosphere was prepared by the Piran fan group Pisarji, who loudly supported the locals throughout the match.
A real championship game. In the first half, the game was extremely even, the Sailors quickly took an 11-2 lead at the beginning, but the guests soon caught them with a number of 3-point shots, the first quarter ended with a partial score of 20:19. The opponents were also tied in the second quarter, ending the quarter with a partial score of 23:23, for the home team to lead 43:42.
