After being relegated from the 1st SKL, the team achieved the best ranking in the 2nd SKL in the last five seasons. The core of the team is made up of local players, who helped to 6th place after the first part of the season in 2022 by playing for KK Portorož.
The club’s goal is to develop local players who will form the long-term core of the team and thus bring continuity to the club’s work, thus focusing on the development and establishment of its own staff. Team leaders Tim Škerbec, Andraž Rogelja, Aleks Cvetičanin and Adin Kavgič are a great help to younger guys such as Peter Tumpič Bordon, Elmir Haskić, Luka Krmac, Jan Vogrin, Martin Končar and Jernej Cergolj. Two generations, one in the best basketball years and the other at the beginning of their sports career, work in synergy, which allows young people to progress every day, and the older ones to constantly compete. The very top of the rankings is the desire of the club, which we have achieved after the first part of the 2021/2022 season, but we want to restore the reputation, belonging and recognition of Puerto Rico basketball. The good work in the youth drive is already showing with some results, the boys draw attention to themselves in practically every game, which is a pleasure for everyone at the club. In 2023, we also want to build on the results from 2022, we wish the same to all clubs and athletes, a lot of success, good working conditions and as few injuries as possible.”
