KK Portorož – members

We welcome another returnee! The reinforcement is 28-year-old Aleksander Medić, a former national team player of the junior selections, who also played for ŠD Koš, KK Postojna and Jadran in his career. #MiSmoKKPortorož⚪️🔵

"I believe in the potential of the team and I want to help on the road to success. So after a period of not playing, I decided to come back. I'm looking forward to the season, working with this really great team, the coaching staff and, of course, the Portorož fans. I promise I'll do my best. I can't wait to get started."

Coach in the 24/25 season: Adin Kavgić

Heading into a new season with a new head coach. In the past, he served as an assistant, and now Adin Kavgić has received the baton 👉 from the hands of Denis Nusdorfer:

"The team is quite changed compared to last season, but I think we've gotten along well with the newcomers as well. We're training well, I can praise them. What is very important, the atmosphere is also the right one. With the arrival of Barbaric, we have completed the team, what doors will we leave open for later, if anything else needs to be added. The goal is to play fast and attractive basketball, but with an emphasis on defense, because especially in the defensive positions, we have individuals who can do it well. The team is relatively young, some still need some time and experience, but they are willing to listen and learn. So I expect that during the season we will grow and progress together as a team."

U16 – Qualifiers

The U16s played two qualifying matches. On the first, in Lucia, the match ended without a winner. Yesterday, the locals won in the hall of the Milojka Štrukelj Elementary School in Nova Gorica.

On the match, player Tomas Krajnc: "We were determined to win. We started very well, but then lost our rhythm at the expense of lost balls. We conceded too many three-pointers in the first half, which was a result of a lackluster defense. In the second half, we quickly built a favorable lead, but mistakes in defense followed, and we lost too many balls. Unfortunately, we lost the match, but 1. The league isn't lost yet. There's a way, so keep your heads up!"
