KK Portorož joined the Reyer Europe project

REYER PROJECT EUROPE

KK Portorož is pleased to announce the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Venetian club Umana Reyer Venezia .

KK Portorož thus becomes part of the Reyer project.

Thus, the number of clubs in the Project has risen to 42, of which three are clubs outside Italy: two Croatian clubs – Basketball Club “Flumen Sancti Viti” from Rijeka, and Basketball Club Stoja from Pula.

Branko Cvetičanin, president of the Portorož Basketball Club:
“Given the attention we pay to working with young people, it is important for us to work with a club like
Umana Reyer Venezia , a reward for the work done so far and an incentive for further improvement.
Getting to know how a top club works is one of the most important goals for us
to be able to bring our way of working closer to their level, because we want to improve the development opportunities for the youngest who are involved in basketball in our club.
We expect our coaches to learn something and thus improve their work.
The growth of the club will require a lot of commitment and effort, and cooperation is important to help overcome everyday obstacles.
Therefore, we are happy about this opportunity and believe that our cooperation will be fruitful.

Mauro Sartori, head of scouting service of Umana Reyer Venezia (“Orogranate”) :
“We continue to get involved in the Reyer project with another European club, with whom we share a vision of the future and the desire and will to work with young people.
It is the first Slovenian club to join
the “Reyer Project Europe” projectand for that we thank the president of the Portorož Basketball Club Cvetičanin Branko for his enthusiasm at the very beginning.
This is sure to be an important opportunity to grow together in 360 degrees!
From a technical, human and organisational point of view, we will be able to share concrete experiences with Portorož.”
