In the Relegation League, the final round unfolded somewhat surprisingly. After Gorica defeated Medvode 71:64 on Monday, Celje needed a win to stay in Postojna on Tuesday. Although Postojna had already mathematically become the third league team in the previous round, they did not let themselves be surprised and defeated Celje in a tense finale with a score of 72:69, which meant that Celje was relegated to the third league, and Medvode ensured their stay in the second league.

The competition system is designed in such a way that only the results of the mutual meetings of the teams participating in the league count for survival.
Medvode were better in head-to-head encounters than Celje.
If all the results of the regular season and relegation league games were counted, Celje (28-9-19) would stand, which recorded two more wins than Medvode 28-7-21.
