An extremely important victory for the members of KK Portoro\u017e against the Litija team. The visitors have won the series in their last 4 games, with two big wins coming against Je\u017eica and Slovan, teams from the top of the league table. On the other hand, the Sailors came into the game from a series of three consecutive defeats, the last of which was particularly painful in Ljubljana against Jan\u010de. The match was also important because of the position in the standings, as Litija was one place ahead of Portoro\u017e with the victory and won the first game in Litija with a score of 96:91.  <\/p>\n

With the victory, Portoro\u017e equalized with Litija after victories and also overtook them in the standings due to a better mutual basket difference.<\/p>\n

The Litians arrived in Portoro\u017e without three standard players (injuries), while captain Cveti\u010danin and pillar of defense Kavgic returned to Portoro\u017e after a one-month absence. The latter had a strong positive effect on the Mariners’ game. <\/p>\n

In the first quarter, the score was very even, most of the time Portoro\u017e was in the lead and won the quarter after an assist from \u0160kerbec and a basket by Svit Rogelja in the last second (26:24). <\/b>In the second quarter, the balance of power was similar, Portoro\u017e was in the lead, Litija was chasing, the unsolvable puzzle for the sailors was the visiting center Jaka \u0160temberger, sniper Pu\u0161i\u010d and game organizer Jaka Zagorc (ex. Portoro\u017ean) added their own. Portoro\u017e won the quarter for a point and led 49-46<\/b> at halftime. <\/p>\n

The Sailors entered the second half even more eagerly, determined not to repeat the scenario from Jan\u010d, and in the middle of the third quarter, the Portoro\u017eani played their first significant lead in the 27th minute +10 (67:57). <\/b>They maintained the lead until the end of the quarter and went into the final 10 minutes with +10 (76:66). <\/b>With a lack of rotation and a solid and combative defense from the home side, the visitors scored just 1 point from free throws in seven minutes of the final quarter and the Portoro\u017ean lead grew to 96-67<\/b> after a 20-1<\/b> run.   <\/b>By the end of the game, Portoro\u017e scored another 4 points (Luka Krmac scored a hundred), and the guests scored 5 points for the final high 100:72.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

For the home team, it is worth praising everyone who entered the game, the best Portoro\u017e individuals Tim \u0160kerbec stood out again with a double double (25 points, 11 rebounds, valorization: 34), <\/b>and Andra\u017e Rogelja 27 points, 5 assists and valorization: 32.
<\/b>For Litija, Jaka \u0160temberger was again the most effective with a double double, 29 points, 11 rebounds, valorization: 27, <\/b>the second scorer of the guests was Pu\u0161i\u010d 16 points (4 three-pointers). Jaka Zagorc contributed 9 points and 7 assists. <\/span><\/p>\n

Next Saturday, the members are guests at the favored team of Mesarija Prunk in Se\u017eana, which with two more wins than Portoro\u017e occupies 4th place in the 2nd ranking.
