With the victory in Medvode, the Portoro\u017e team mathematically secured their stay in the second division and regained their participation in the playoffs for the champion. The Intermediate Arena was not heated in such a way that it took the Mariners almost fifteen minutes to adjust to the unfavorable conditions for the game.  In the first quarter, the teams played defenseless, and the home team did better in the run and gun game. 
<\/span>The Mariners, however, quickly took the lead – in the 3rd minute it was (5-10). An 11-0 run by the hosts followed for a 16-10 lead.
After a minute of break, Portoro\u017e came closer with a three by Rogelja and a basket by \u0160kerbec to +1 (16:15). After that, the hosts made another series 8:0 for 24:15, and the quarter ended with a basket by the captain of Portoro\u017e Cveti\u010danin for 24:17<\/b>.
In the first attack of the second quarter, the hosts took the lead – 26-17. 8 consecutive baskets by \u0160krbac followed, and the Mariners cut the lead to 28-26. From the 14th minute until halftime, the collective play of the sailors in defense and attack came to the fore, baskets were scored consecutively by Klibarda, Kon\u010dar and Svit Rogelja with a three by captain Cveti\u010danin, Portoro\u017e reached the highest lead of +7 (38:45) in the 19th minute, and the half ended with the lead of Portoro\u017e (44:49).<\/b> In the second half, the Portoro\u017eani stepped up the pace and ended the third quarter (57:69)<\/b> with a three-pointer by Luka Krmac.
In the final quarter, the Mariners completely disabled the hosts with a zone defense and with a partial score (10:25) in the end deservedly won for the final 67:94<\/b>.
There were as many as 5 basketball players in double digits <\/g><\/g>: \u0160kerbec 18<\/b>, Andra\u017e Rogelja 17<\/b>, Cveti\u010danin 13<\/b>, Krmac 10 <\/b>and Kon\u010dar 10<\/b>.
Veteran Kavgi\u010d 7<\/g>, Haski\u0107 6<\/b>, Klibarda 5<\/b>, Bahor 4<\/b> and Svit Rogelja 4<\/b> added their own.
With the victory, Portoro\u017e overtook the Litija team in the standings and currently holds the 7th place.
